I have a laptop (running on Vista) with built in Wi-Fi. It connects to the Internet via a cable. I have a router, but I share my Internet connection with another laptop Wi-Fi. Can I connect my Nintendo DS Lite, with platinum pokemon, Internet, to share my Internet connection, and how?

you'll need a router. You need the Internet to connect to other players to play and such. you can not do this through your laptop. you need a router to be able to put your key and take your DS online.
